Churros are crispy on the outside and so so soft on the inside. Not to mention it's coated in delicious cinnamon sugar.
Classic churros are piped in a long line over oil and then cut with scissors. I choose to make these into a heart shape.
If you want to make this extra special, you can coat your churros with red or pink sanding sugars.
First you pipe it on parchment paper, then pick the churro up gently, and plop it into the hot oil. You want to measure all of your ingredients before you start mixing.
You can dip this in the chocolate sauce as well.

RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup butter, cut into cubes
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups oil
STEPS:
Heat a large pot of oil over high heat. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
Meanwhile in another large pan, add water, and butter. Stir until butter is melted then add sugar, salt, and take-off of the heat. Add flour until it gets combined and smooth. It will take 30-50 strokes.
Remove off heat and pour it into a fitted stand mixer. Beat in your eggs slowly, one by one, and fit into a piping bag with a star tip.
Pipe hearts on parchment paper and gently pick the dough (and not the parchment paper!!!) and add it into the oil. Cook on each side for 2 minutes each and immediately coat in cinnamon sugar.
Enjoy!
