Cruffins are a mix of croissants and muffins! Seeing as it's National Croissant Day, I decided to make these cruffins.
Instead of making the pastry for croissants, we just use premade puff pastry for this recipe. In the end, you only need four ingredients!
Instead of puff pastry, the rest of the ingredients are just pantry items. Make sure to thaw the premade puff pastry. I set it out at room temperature for 40 minutes.
Next, I brush the sheet of pastry with softened butter. I roll it up the long way. This way, you'll get a long log. Then cut lengthwise in half. Cut each strip in half again. Now you have four strips. Roll them each into a spiral.
The cruffins will puff up while baking. Make sure they fill the muffin tin to the top! Only then the cruffins will become tall.
Place into the muffin tin. Roll the cruffins into cinnamon sugar and eat with jam or Nutella. Even whipped cream tastes amazing! These are fun to make and so flakey. A great way to eat your breakfast or snack. Try it out, you can do it!
