Day 169: Kitchen Sink Cookies

Kitchen sink cookies are basically all the leftovers (sweets) in your pantry. It's so amazing that you won't be able to resist at least three.

You can totally customize it with your favorite sweets. For me I used:

  • Toffee Bits

  • Chocolate Chips

  • Chopped Pretzels

Some other options:

  • Marshmallows

  • Caramel Chips

  • Butterscotch Chips

I like my pretzel to be pretty small. About an 1/2" long, max. Otherwise you'll be trying to eat a HUGE bite of pretzel.

Take the cookies out even if they seem a bit raw. As long as the bottom is brown, your cookies will be fine. Cookies actually bake even when they're out of the oven, so don't worry about it. :)

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup light brown sugar tightly packed

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda sifted

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

  • 3/4 cup chopped pretzels

  • 1/2 cup toffee bits (caramel also works)

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. In an electric mixer cream together butter and both sugars for 2 minutes. Add in your eggs and vanilla extract.

  2. In another bowl whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Add this into the butter mixture and beat in your fillings as well.

  3. With a cookie scoop, scoop out your cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Enjoy!
