As I said on yesterday's post, I made these quick and easy, homemade burger patties. Skip the store bought ones and celebrate any burger with this burger patty recipe. You can even eat it with my homemade burger buns!
Make sure to add a lot of spice! It can really bring out a yummy distinct flavor to the burger patties.
As you flatted them be very careful. These patties are very delicate so be patient with them.
Finally got the lettuce and tomatoes! Yippee!
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup almonds or walnuts
2 cloves garlic
1 knob fresh ginger (peeled)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon pickled jalapeno slices
1 (15-ounce) can of black beans
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon flax seed
2 tablespoon breadcrumbs
In a food processor, combine almonds, oats, giner, garlic, onion until roughly chopped. Add in the rest of the ingredients, stirring in the breadcrumbs at the end. Pour into a bowl and chill for 15 minutes.
Take out and cut form flattened balls and baking for 15 minutes. Then turn around and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve!
