Day 6: Tahini Banana Snack Cake

I loved how this bake turned out! Make sure to not cut our any ingredients. They all add up in the end!

Add the flour, salt, and baking soda.

Then add the mashed bananas in!

Ready to go in the oven.

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

Vegetable oil spray

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

4 ripe bananas

1 1/4 cup sugar

1/3 cup tahini

2 large eggs

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk

2 teaspoon sesame seeds

STEPS:

Heat oven 350 degrees. Butter the the inside and the sides of a 8x8 baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda.

Mash the bananas.

In a bowl of a stand mixer, combined softened butter, sugar and tahini. Beat until the mixer is light and fluffy, about 3 -4 minutes.

Add eggs and beat until combined about 30 seconds. Add mashed bananas and vanilla and beat until incorporated.

Add half of the flour mixture. Start mixer on low speed and mix until combined. With the mixer running, slowly pour in milk and mix until combined, about 30 seconds. Stop mixer.

Add the remaining flour mixture.

Use a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir in any remaining flour. Pour the batter into the pan and spread to make everything even. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.

Place the baking pan in the oven. Bake until golden brown and when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 40 - 45 minutes.

Remove and let the cake cool completely.

Enjoy!
