Day 68: Cheese Crackers

Cheez-its are yummy, but you can do better! Try this super easy peasy cheese cracker's recipe! They taste exactly the same, but homemade. If you ever just want something to munch on during a, movie, snack, or yes, even a midnight food craving, this is just the right cracker to satisfy everything. Literally.

I love how this tastes exactly like cheez-its!!!

Perfect for any get together this is the best snack ever!!!

You can bake this for longer if it's not crunchy enough for you.

I only had medium cheddar but try to aim for sharp cheddar.


Level: 👩🏽‍🍳

Serves: Around 60 crackers

Time: 1 hour 10 minutes



  • 3/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese*

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  • 3/4 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 3 Tablespoons butter cut into cubes

  • 2 Tablespoons cold water

  • sea salt for sprinkling


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and grease a baking sheet.

In a food processor blend cheddar cheese, all purpose flour, cornstarch, and salt. Add in the butter and pulse for about 20 seconds. Then slowly add the water, the mixture should form a ball. Roll this dough in plastic wrap and cool in the fridge for 45 minutes.

Roll out cooled dough as an 8" square. Cut with a pizza roller, strips each 1" wide and place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until crispy.
