Day 220: Homemade Lasagna Noodles

Happy National Pasta Day! I'm celebrating with these homemade lasagna noodles that are so fun to make! There's no special shapes or tools required!

Did you know that there is also a World Pasta Day, and a National Pasta Month? Both the two days (17th, 35th) and pasta month is in October! How cool is that?!

You might have noticed, but I've put up a poll on the homepage of my blog. Let me know which snack cake you love best out of the three options and I'll make the one with the most votes!!!

It would mean so much to me if you would let me know your favorite flavor. :)

Back to the lasagna! These are done in an hour and I love the flavor so much. They're definitely much better than store bought lasagna sheets.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 eggs

STEPS:

  1. Whisk your flour and salt together in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add olive oil and eggs. Knead to combine, cover with a dish towel, and set aside for 30 minutes.

  2. When ready, divide your dough ball into 4 equal portions. Roll each section until it's about 1/8" thick. Cut into rectangles that are 9x4".

  3. Boil salted water and add your lasagna sheets in. Cook for about 3 minutes.

Enjoy!
