Day 122: Indian Fruit Salad

Okay let's just get this straight, this fruit salad - is not your typical fruit salad. It's a custard-like base with fruits on top. It's so light and creamy.

The custard is really just milk, sugar, and cornstarch. It's not complete custard because you want it to be pretty runny though.

You can use whatever fruit you have.

I used apples, bananas, mangoes, grapes, pomegranates.

Make sure all your fruit is really sweet, it makes a difference.

3 cups whole milk

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 mango

1 banana

1 apple

1 cup grapes

3 tablespoon pomegranates.

In a small bowl mix cornstarch and sugar. Add this to a saucepan filled with milk and stir until thick, but still runny. Cover and chill until cool.

Cut fruits into small pieces except for grapes! Add all the fruit in and serve cool.
