Week 93: Marble Bundt Cake

I love bundt cakes because they are so easy to make, and they turn out looking so sophisticated and fancy. You don’t even need to frost them.

Can’t pick between chocolate and vanilla? A marble cake is your best choice. It’s truly the best of both worlds!

Make sure to use a knife to swirl the batter around right before you bake the cake. This way, the cake will have the desired marble effect.

If you want, you can decorate this cake with a chocolate ganache glaze, but I think the cake tastes great by itself as well.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup yogurt

  • 5 oz. chocolate chips, melted

STEPS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, and spray a bundt cake pan with baking spray.

  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and continue mixing. Add half of the flour, all of the baking soda and baking powder. Then, followed by adding yogurt and the remaining flour.

  3. Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, mix in the melted chocolate and set aside.

  4. With a cookie scoop, alternate scooping the vanilla and chocolate batters into your prepared cake pan. Then, take a knife and swirl the batter around. Bake for 55 minutes.

  5. Set aside to cool to room temperature, then carefully take out of the pan and serve.

Enjoy!
